- This standard specifies the test method for the determination of the total active substance content of ethoxylated alcohols and alkylphenol sulfates. This standard applies to the sulfated neutralization products of ethoxylated alcohols and alkylphenols [alkyl alcohol oxyethylene ether sulfates (ethoxylated alcohol sulfates) or alkylphenol oxyethylene ether sulfates (ethoxylated Alkylphenol sulfate)] in the determination of the total content of active substances. Total actives include organics dissolved in ethanol (alkyl ether sulfates, alkylphenol ether sulfates, polyethylene glycol sulfates and nonionic components).
