Scope

This standard specifies the receiving and transmitting signal characteristics of Inmarsat C ship earth stations, technical requirements for antennas, receiving and transmitting systems. This standard applies to the design and manufacture of Inmarsat C ship earth stations whose G/T value is equal to or greater than -23dB/K, and the application for type approval and commissioning before equipment production.
