Scope

This standard specifies the use of stationary β-ray article surface contamination monitors that measure the surface contamination of articles being transported out of controlled areas such as nuclear facilities by detecting contamination by nuclides that emit β-rays with a maximum energy of 0.15 MeV or higher. Hereinafter, we will specify the monitor.
