- This standard specifies the technical requirements for data circuit terminating equipment (DCE) on non-ISDN 56Kbit/s and 64Kbit/S point-to-point digital leased circuits. This standard specifies the performance of DTE to DCE interface and rate adaptation, end-to-end signal, testing and multiplexing equipment, etc. The main features of DCE are as follows: Operate in full-duplex mode on digital leased circuits. The total bit rate is at least 56Kbit/s. The signal rate is up to 56/64kbit/S. Adapt the rate of 48Kbit/s and 56Kbit/s to 64Kbit/s according to the scheme stipulated by CCITT V.110. Including two different types of DTE-DEC function interface. Includes test implementation. Optionally provide a means of distinguishing between user and network data. A multiplexer is optionally included.
