Scope
This standard specifies the product type and size, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging and marking of insulators for low-voltage overhead power lines. This standard applies to insulators (hereinafter referred to as insulators) used for insulating and fixing wires in rack-mounted power lines with DC or power frequency AC rated voltages lower than 1000V, including low-voltage line pin insulators (referred to as pin insulators) and low-voltage line butterfly insulators. (referred to as butterfly insulators), low-voltage line bobbin insulators (referred to as bobbin insulators). The ambient temperature of its installation and use site is -40℃~+40℃, and the altitude does not exceed 1000m. When the altitude of the insulator installation site or test site exceeds 1000m, the test voltage value should be corrected according to the relevant standards. Note: Altitude correction method is under consideration. This standard does not apply to insulators used in media that damage porcelain and glaze.
