Scope

This standard specifies the test method for the average linear thermal expansion coefficient of elastic solid glass far below the transition temperature. This standard applies to all mass-produced glass with conventional components. This standard does not apply to fused silica, glass ceramics or other glasses having the same linear thermal expansion coefficient.
