- Scope
- This standard specifies the compression test method for metallic bearing materials. The compression test specified in this standard is applicable to the determination of the compression characteristics of metal materials under the uniform distribution of the axial compression load on the cross section of the sample. For this purpose, a cylindrical test piece of original cross-sectional area SO is slowly and continuously pressurized and the applied pressure is measured.
