This part of GB/T 7095 specifies the requirements for single-coated enameled copper flat wires based on aromatic polyimide resin of class 240. Class 240 represents the thermal class. It requires a minimum temperature index of 240 and a thermal shock temperature of at least is 260°C. The Celsius temperature corresponding to the temperature index is not the recommended temperature for enameled wire, as it depends on many factors including the type of equipment used. The nominal size range of conductors applicable to this section is:
——wide side size: minimum 2.00 mm, maximum 16.00 mm;
——narrow side size: minimum 0.80 mm, maximum 5.60 mm. This section covers enamelled copper flat wires of Class 1 and Class 2 paint film thicknesses and is applicable to the full range of conductor specifications. The combination of wide side dimensions and narrow side dimensions and the width/narrow ratio are specified in GB/T 7095.1-2008.
