ISO 4491-3:1997
Scope
This standard describes the determination method of oxygen content (mass fraction) that can be reduced by hydrogen in metal powders of 0.05% to 3%. This method is applicable to unalloyed, partially alloyed and fully alloyed metal powders, as well as to mixtures of carbides and bonded metals. It is not suitable for powders containing lubricants or organic binders. This method can be extended to measure carbon-containing powders by using a dedicated catalytic device. ISO 4491 should be read in conjunction with ISO 760 and ISO 4491-1.
