- This International Standard defines the concept of profiles, and the means by which they are documented in internationally standardized profiles. It can guide international drafters to draft Chinese standards according to the nature and content of the document, or guide relevant organizations to draft international standardization outline draft proposals. This standard outlines the concept of profile, the comprehensive classification method (or classification scheme), and the format and content of ISP. Appendix A gives details of the format and content of the uniformly required ISP. Appendix B gives an example of the effort assembled as a profile definition for a published ISP. Appendix C gives guidance on the consistency of profiles and points out the direction for the future development of this series of standards. Appendix D lists some of the ISO/IEC standards and CCITT recommendations referenced in the examples. GB/T 16682.2 provides a complete classification method for various profiles that can be submitted or have been submitted as internationally standardized profiles. GB/T 16682 is applicable to profiles within the purview of ISO/IEC JTC1, and this series of standards focuses on the profiles already given within the scope of OSI, that is, the profiles specifying the basic OSI standards, and the exchange formats expected to be used in conjunction with them Contours related to data representation. Second, it is also used to describe the contours of the use of other ISO/IEC JTC1-based standards, such as: - Open distributed processing; - Representation of information or objects on storage media (different from the usual restrictions on the use of communication protocols) ; -- Logical and physical storage structures.
