Scope: This standard establishes a framework for harmonizing the development of existing and future OSI management standards, and provides a reference for these standards. This standard a) defines the terms of OSI management and describes the concepts of OSI management; b) gives an overview of the OSI management structure and objectives of OSI management and an overview of the facilities provided by OSI management; c) describes the OSI management activities . This International Standard does not specify services or protocols for OSI management. It is neither an implementation specification for systems nor a basis for evaluating implementation conformance.
