Scope

This standard specifies the torque test and breaking torque value of bolts and screws with a nominal diameter of 1 to 10 mm and a property grade of 8.8 to 12.9 (GB3098.1). This standard is applicable to bolts and screws whose thread size is smaller than M3, and whose minimum tensile load and proof load are not specified in GB3098.1; and bolts and screws whose nominal diameter is 3-10mm, but whose length is too short to carry out tensile test. The breaking torque does not apply to hexagon socket set screws.
