Scope

This standard specifies a method for the determination of the tear strength of small specimens (Delft specimens) of vulcanized rubber or thermoplastic rubber. This standard applies to vulcanized rubber or thermoplastic rubber. Note: The measurement results of this method are inconsistent with the method stated in GB/T 529. This method is more suitable for testing small finished products. When the materials used are not restricted, the method stated in GB/T 529 is usually preferred.
