This standard specifies methods for measuring the iron loss characteristics, alternating current magnetization characteristics, and apparent power characteristics of electrical steel sheets at commercial frequencies using a single-sheet magnetic testing device using the H-coil method or exciting current method. The applicable magnetic flux density for measuring iron loss durability and apparent power characteristics is 1.0-1.8 T for grain-oriented electrical steel sheets and 0.8-1.5 T for non-oriented electrical steel sheets.
