- This standard specifies the method for the determination of the Izod impact strength of plastics under certain conditions. Different test parameters are specified according to the type of material, specimen and notch. This standard applies to rigid thermoplastics and thermosetting plastics, filled and fiber-reinforced plastics, and sheets of these plastics, including laminated sheets. This standard does not apply to the determination of porous materials.
