Scope

This standard specifies terminology for electric carbon materials and products, including general terms, raw materials, product names, appearance and structure of brushes, technical performance, test methods, product defects, processes and equipment, etc. This standard applies to the formulation of electric carbon materials, products and their standards, the preparation of technical documents, the compilation and translation of professional manuals, teaching materials or books and periodicals, and is used by personnel engaged in the production, scientific research, use and teaching of electrical professional work. The terms specified in this standard are coordinated with the relevant parts of GB/T2900.1-92 "Basic Terms of Electrotechnical Terminology"; terms not specified in this standard can be specified in relevant standards when necessary.
