Scope

This standard specifies the principle requirements for structural safety of small wind turbines (hereinafter referred to as wind turbines), including requirements for safety mechanisms, quality assurance, structural safety and reliability design, control, protection, and experiments. This standard applies to wind turbines operating independently and with a swept area of the wind rotor less than 40m², including machinery, supporting structures, control and protection devices, etc.
