- This standard specifies the maximum permissible concentration, time-weighted average permissible concentration and monitoring and testing methods of respirable asbestos fibers in the workshop air. This standard applies to all kinds of enterprises that produce, process, transport and use asbestos and asbestos products except for mining operations in asbestos mines. The mining operations of asbestos mines still use the original maximum allowable concentration of 2mg/m3.
