- The standard applies for unalloyed and alloyed steels which are delivered as hot rolled bars, wire rod or bright steel with circular cross-section and generally intended for the manufacturing of tested welded round link chains.; The standard specifies the requirements concerning e.g. manufacturing process, treatment and surface condition at the time of delivery, chemical composition, mechanical properties, hardenability, technological properties, grain size, inner and outer soundness. The standard includes specifications for testing, marking and heat treating the products.#,,#
