- This standard specifies the methods for the determination of elastic modulus of various fabric core conveyor belts. The elastic modulus value determined in this standard can be used for the design and selection of belt conveyors, and can also be used to evaluate the physical and mechanical properties of conveyor belts. Note: The modulus of elasticity is especially used when calculating the transition distance according to ISO5293 "Conveyor Belt - Transition Distance Calculation Formula for Three Equal Length Guide Rollers".
