Scope

This standard specifies the method of applying an impact bending load to the sample with a Charpy pendulum impact testing machine to destroy the sample, and using the energy absorbed per unit area when the sample is damaged to measure the impact toughness of the material. This standard is applicable to castings of resins for fiber reinforced plastics and special casting resins.
