Scope

This standard specifies the product classification, technical requirements, test methods and inspection rules, signs, packaging, storage and transportation of oil drill pipe thread gauges (hereinafter referred to as gauges). This standard applies to the design, manufacture, inspection, use and maintenance of oil drill pipe thread gauges specified in GB/T9253.8 "Petroleum Drill Pipe Thread".
