- This standard specifies the terminology, product classification, general technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, signs, packaging, transportation, storage, etc. of harmonic distortion measuring instruments (distortion instruments for short). This standard is applicable to harmonic distortion measuring instruments, as a common technical basis for product design, identification, production, use, and testing, and is also the basis for formulating product standards for distortion instruments. The main technical requirements, test methods and inspection rules in this standard are also applicable to voltage and harmonic distortion measurement components in low-frequency comprehensive measurement equipment. This standard does not apply to non-linear intermodulation distortion measuring instruments and transient distortion measuring instruments.
