- This document specifies the principle, instruments and materials, samples, operation, result presentation, precision and test report for the determination of basalt fiber combustible content. This document describes two test methods for the determination of combustible content of basalt fibers, namely: --- Method A: muffle furnace ignition method; --- Method B: Soxhlet extraction method. Method A is the referee test method. This document applies to basalt fiber yarns, chopped strands and ground fibres, fabrics, felts and other articles.
