- Scope
- This standard specifies the method for the determination of N-methylpyrrolidone (hereinafter referred to as NMP) in lubricating oils - headspace gas chromatography. This standard is applicable to lubricant base oil refined with NMP as solvent. The detection limit of this standard is 0.18 g/kg ~ 10 g/kg. This section is not intended to address all safety issues related to its use. Users are responsible for establishing appropriate safety and health measures to ensure compliance with relevant national regulations. Note: NMP has a mild irritating effect on the skin, and chronic effects can cause dysfunction of the central nervous system and cause lesions in the respiratory organs, kidneys, and vascular systems. The maximum allowable concentration in the workplace is 100 mg/m3. On-site operators should wear masks, protective glasses and gloves.
