- This document describes the principle, reagents and materials, instruments and equipment, test procedures, test data processing, recovery rate, precision, etc. of the ion chromatography method for the determination of the banned substance tetracaine and its salts in cosmetics. This document is applicable to the determination of tetracaine and its salts in emulsion, water, facial cleanser and facial mask cosmetics. In this document, the detection limit of tetracaine and its salts (calculated as tetracaine) is 10 mg/kg, and the limit of quantification is 25 mg/kg.
