- This standard specifies the terms and definitions of air pollutant emission standards for coal-fired power plants, emission control requirements, pollutant monitoring requirements, standard compliance determination, implementation and supervision, etc. This standard applies to the emission management of air pollutants from existing coal-fired power plants within the jurisdiction of Shanxi Province, as well as the environmental impact assessment of coal-fired power plants for new, reconstructed, and expanded projects, the design of environmental protection facilities, the acceptance of completed environmental protection, and the atmospheric emissions after they are put into operation. This standard applies to coal-fired power generation boilers with a single output of 65 t/h or more, except for layer furnaces and stoker furnaces; pulverized coal power generation boilers of various capacities; coal gangue and coal slime with a single output of 65 t/h or more , washed coal and other fuels or power generation boilers that mainly use coal mixed with other fuels. This standard applies to pollutant discharge activities permitted by law. The location selection of newly established pollution sources and the management of existing pollution sources in special protection areas shall be implemented in accordance with the relevant provisions of laws, regulations and rules such as the "Atmospheric Pollution Prevention and Control Law of the People's Republic of China" and the "Environmental Impact Assessment Law of the People's Republic of China".
