Scope: This part of GB/T 38943 specifies the specific safety requirements for electrical systems and components of electrically driven earth-moving machinery (EMM) using external power. This section applies to any frequency of alternating current and direct current within the range of 75V to 36kV with vehicle voltage in the range of 50V~36kV, including machines for outdoor use with pulsating direct current at any repetition rate. The voltage inside the device is not the vehicle voltage, so it is not within the scope of this section. This Part is used in conjunction with GB/T 38943.1. GB/T 38943.1 specifies the general requirements for electrically driven earth-moving machinery, and GB/T 38943.3 specifies the specific requirements for self-propelled earth-moving machinery. For earth-moving machinery that is self-powered and uses external power (for example, a battery-powered machine with a built-in charger and power supply function), it should also meet the requirements of GB/T 38943.3.
