This document specifies a method for the determination of carbon, silicon, manganese, phosphorus, sulfur, chromium, molybdenum, vanadium, tungsten, cobalt, aluminum, copper and nickel in high-alloy steels by spark discharge atomic emission spectrometry (conventional method). This document is applicable to the analysis of cast or forged high-alloy steel samples from electric furnaces, induction furnaces, electroslag furnaces, converters, etc. The measurement range of each element is shown in Table 1.
