- This standard specifies the terms and definitions, principles and methods for determining the dissolution of lead and cadmium in daily ceramics using graphite furnace atomic absorption spectrometry. This standard is applicable to the determination of trace amounts of lead and cadmium dissolution in daily ceramic vessels that are in contact with food, which cannot be accurately measured by flame atomic absorption spectrometry. The determination of lead and cadmium dissolution in other daily ceramic vessels can be performed with reference to this standard.
