Scope

This standard specifies the method for the determination of sea cucumber saponins in sea cucumbers and their products by high performance liquid chromatography. This standard is applicable to the determination of sea cucumber saponin content (calculated as quinolose) in sea cucumber and its products, and quinolose is a characteristic monosaccharide of sea cucumber saponin.
