Scope

This standard specifies the double-antibody sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay and reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction detection methods for Phaseolus vulgaris mosaic virus (see Appendix A) that infects Gladiolus. This standard is applicable to the detection of living Gladiolus plant materials that may carry Bean Yellow Mosaic Virus, including vegetative propagation materials, tissue culture seedlings, seeds and plants.
