Scope

This standard specifies a rapid detection method for formaldehyde in food. This standard is applicable to the rapid detection of formaldehyde in aquatic products, wet foods, rice and flour products, and non-fermented soy products. It is not applicable to foods where the sample soaking liquid may interfere with color judgment. The detection limit of this standard method is 5mg/kg.
