Scope
This document specifies the method for determining the content of trace elements in alumina by wavelength dispersive X-ray fluorescence spectrometry, including the fusion sample preparation method and the grinding tablet method, and the fusion sample preparation method is the referee method. This document is applicable to the determination of trace elements sodium, silicon, iron, calcium, potassium, titanium, phosphorus, vanadium, zinc and gallium in metallurgical grade alumina by wavelength dispersive X-ray fluorescence spectrometry (expressed as Na2O, SiO2, Fe2O3, CaO, K2O, TiO2, P2O5, V2O5, ZnO and Ga2O3) content, other alumina varieties can refer to the method used in this document.
