Scope
This document presents a method for estimating the long-term (greater than 11-year solar cycle) solar proton fluence in geosynchronous orbit (GEO) and guidance for selecting confidence levels for the solar proton fluence model. This document applies to performance degradation prediction of solar cells. The performance degradation prediction of charge-coupled device (CCD), image sensor (APS) and other optoelectronic devices is used as reference.
