Scope

This standard specifies two methods for determining the melt mass flow rate (MFR) and melt volume flow rate (MVR) of thermoplastic elastomers. Method A is the mass method and method B is the volume method. This standard applies to olefin thermoplastic elastomers (POE), styrenic thermoplastic elastomers (TPE-S), thermoplastic elastomers (TPU), and dynamically vulcanized thermoplastic elastomers (TPV).
