Scope

This standard specifies the methods for the determination of biuret in seawater: spectrophotometry and liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry. This standard is applicable to the determination of biuret in estuaries and coastal seawater. Spectrophotometry is suitable for seawater with higher biuret content; liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry is suitable for seawater with lower biuret content.
