- Scope
- This standard specifies the method for determining the acid value of petroleum and petroleum products - potentiometric titration. This standard is suitable for the determination of acidic components in petroleum and petroleum products with a water mass fraction of less than 1%. The dissociation constant of these acidic components in water is greater than 10-9. The measurement range of acid value is 0.01 mgKOH/g~500 mgKOH/g. This standard does not address all possible safety issues. Users are responsible for establishing appropriate safety and health measures to ensure compliance with relevant national regulations.
