This standard specifies the general requirements for self-monitoring, the development of monitoring plans, and the basic contents and requirements for information recording and reporting by electroplating industrial sewage discharge units and centralized sewage treatment plants that specialize in electroplating wastewater treatment. This standard is applicable to electroplating industrial sewage discharge units and centralized sewage treatment plants that specialize in the treatment of electroplating wastewater, and carry out self-monitoring of the water and gas pollutants, noise and impact on the quality of the surrounding environment that they discharge during production operations. The self-monitoring requirements for self-provided thermal power generating units (factories) and supporting power boilers are implemented in accordance with the "Technical Guidelines for Self-Monitoring of Sewage Discharge Units Thermal Power Generation and Boilers" (HJ820).
