- This document specifies the maximum allowable external leakage rate and measurement test methods for welding, cutting and related process equipment (hereinafter referred to as "equipment"). This document applies to independent welding and cutting equipment parts or devices between the hose connection at the gas supply end (the outlet of the gas cylinder valve or the connection end of the gas supply station) to the gas outlet of the welding torch. This document does not apply to gas supply stations. For certain equipment standards, the allowable maximum external leakage rate is stipulated, which shall be implemented according to the standards.
