- Scope
- This standard specifies the required sanitary protection distance between chlor-alkali plants (caustic soda produced by electrolysis) and residential areas. This standard applies to new chlor-alkali plants located in plains and slightly hilly areas, as well as expansion and reconstruction projects of existing chlor-alkali plants. Existing chlor-alkali plants can be implemented as a reference. The sanitary protection distance of chlor-alkali plants located in valleys and other complex terrain conditions should be jointly determined by the competent department of the construction unit and the competent departments of health and environmental protection of the province, city, and autonomous region where the construction project is located according to the atmospheric environment quality evaluation report.
