Scope

This standard specifies the technical requirements for thick-walled multilayer sliding bearing backings. The purpose is to ensure a good bond between the plain bearing alloy and the bearing backing. This standard applies to thick-walled bearings in which the sliding bearing alloy is cast on the bearing backing or housing bore.
