- This standard specifies the technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules and requirements for marking, packaging, transportation, storage and safety of industrial carbon disulfide. This standard is applicable to carbon disulfide produced by the reaction of carbonaceous raw materials with sulfur vapor and distillation. The product is mainly used in the production of viscose fiber, cellophane, pesticides, rubber additives, flotation agents, chemical raw materials, solvents and aviation accelerators. Molecular formula: CS2 Relative molecular mass: 76.14 (according to the international atomic weight in 1989)
