Scope

This standard specifies the graphite furnace atomic absorption spectrophotometric method for the determination of thallium in soils and sediments. This standard applies to the determination of total thallium content in soil and sediments. When the sample volume is 0.5 g and the constant volume is 50 ml, the detection limit of this method is 0.1 mg/kg and the lower determination limit is 0.4 mg/kg.
