Scope
This standard specifies a gas chromatography method for the determination of specific migration amounts of ethylenediamine and hexamethylenediamine in plastic packaging materials and products that come into contact with food. This standard is applicable to the determination of migration amounts of ethylenediamine and hexamethylenediamine in plastic packaging materials and products in contact with food. The lower limit of determination of ethylenediamine in water, 3% (mass concentration) acetic acid solution, 10% (volume fraction) ethanol solution and 95% (volume fraction) ethanol and isooctane food simulants by this method is 1.00 mg/L, the lower limit of determination of hexamethylenediamine is 0.500 mg/L; the lower limit of determination of ethylenediamine in olive oil is 1.00 mg/kg, the lower limit of determination of hexamethylenediamine is 0. 500 mg/kg. Note: When food contact materials are in long-term contact with olive oil at 20°C for 10 days or 40°C for 10 days, the ethylenediamine and hexamethylenediamine migrated from the food contact materials will react with the olive oil, resulting in lower test results. , 95% (volume fraction) ethanol or isooctane should be used instead of olive oil for testing.
