- Scope
- This standard specifies the gas phase molecular absorption spectrometry method for the determination of total nitrogen in water. This standard is applicable to the determination of total nitrogen (measured as N) in surface water, groundwater, domestic sewage, industrial wastewater and seawater. Using high temperature and high pressure digestion, when the sampling volume is 20.0 ml, the method detection limit is 0.05 mg/L, and the lower determination limit is 0.20 mg/L; using online UV digestion, the method detection limit is 0.05 mg/L, and the lower determination limit is 0.20 mg /L.
