Scope

This document specifies methods for measuring the surface area of materials based on hyperspectral imaging techniques. This document is applicable to the measurement of surface area of food contact materials, jewelry and other materials. This document does not apply to porous materials with pore diameters less than 1 mm, and materials containing striped textures with diameters less than 1 mm.
