Scope

What is ISO 22947 -  Determination of carbon monoxide in cigarette smoke about ?   ISO 22947 is an international standard that serves the NDIR method for the determination of carbon monoxide in cigarette smoke which ensures compliance with the regulatory requirements to limit the content of carbon monoxide and limit its effect on users.   ISO 22947 specifies a method for determination of carbon monoxide (CO) in the vapour phase of cigarette smoke with an intense smoking regime.   In ISO 22947 method, the collection of the vapour phase of the cigarette smoke and measurement of the carbon monoxide is done using a non-dispersive infrared (NDIR) analyser calibrated for carbon monoxide.
