Scope

This standard specifies a method for the determination of niobium content using PAR spectrophotometry. This standard is applicable to the determination of niobium content with a mass fraction of 0.001% to 6.0% in steel and high-temperature alloys. Note: This standard measures the combined amount of niobium and tantalum.
