Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, principles, instruments and equipment, samples, tests, results and calculations and test reports for testing the elastic modulus of thick ceramic coatings at high temperatures using the pulse excitation method. This standard applies to the test of elastic modulus of thick ceramic coatings on metal substrates or ceramic substrates below 1500 °C.
